......and it was a lovely Christmas. We were glad to be at home this year and sharing Christmas with my family. The kids were up at about 6.30am - but all the adults were up before them having coffee! We are more excited about Santa's visit than even the kids! Mind you, they were definitely impressed by what the jolly old man had left.....
Corey was so pleased with two of his presents he decided to enjoy both of them at once!
Molly enjoyed her first Christmas. She even got a present from Santa! But I think the wrapping paper was her favourite thing.....
Although, by mid afternoon she - I mean "we" - were ready for a little siesta!
We had a traditional roast dinner with turkey, pork and chicken, followed by my Mum's fabulous boiled Christmas pudding (my favourite part of all the Christmas feasting) and pavlova topped with berries and cream.
Danny's side of the family had their Christmas at Laura's this year, so it was great to just pop around the corner to her house for dinner. Lots more presents for our boys......they are not sure what to play with next. They are very lucky boys to have so many people to love and spoil them.
My Mum seemed to love her present from me.....the little quilt I made in the class at my local patchwork shop. It was beautifully quilted by my dear friend Jenny Stone from Seville. (Thanks Jen, for fitting this one in amongst the pre-Christmas rush.....I really appreciate it. ) Here is my Mum holding up the finished quilt so I could show you all.
Well, that's a very brief rap up of our 2009 Christmas. Hope you all had a fabulous Christmas day, and you're enjoying this post-Christmas week. It is a lovely time for rest, reflection and dreaming of the year to come. I'm taking a little blog break for a week or so now.....just to be with my boys, potter in the garden and recharge a bit. Have a happy and safe New Year and I will be back in 2010 with more of my banter! Lots of love to you all, Anita. xxx
