Thought I'd just stop by to say hello and let you all know that I will be out of action for the next week or so. It is school holidays here and I am taking the next week off from all the normal commitments and activities to enjoy some time with my spunky husband and my two gorgeous little boys. We are planning a week of bike-riding, football-kicking, hoop-shooting, game-playing fun. Sometimes you just need to stop; get away from the every day, and appreciate the people you love the most. I saw a fabulous quote over on Ali Edwards blog that read:
"Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are. Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart. Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow. Let me hold you while I may, for it may not always be so. One day I shall dig my nails into the earth, or bury my face in the pillow, or stretch myself taut, or raise my hands to the sky and want, more than all the world, your return" : Mary Jean Irons.
With the recent loss of my special friend Olivia, I am acutely aware that all we have for sure is today. We simply cannot take it for granted. I want to spend more of my "normal days" cherishing my beautiful family. Hope all you other Mums with kids on school holidays are enjoying them. The warmer weather certainly presents a chance to get outside and run around with our kids. Soak it up and give those precious babies lots of cuddles (even when they are driving you a little looney! :))
So thanks, again for stopping by. I'll be back online from around October 6th.
In the meanwhile, here's a pretty card I made for the birthday of a lovely friend, Julie, whose son is Corey's friend from kindergarten.
Take care and enjoy the next week. I know I will :)

Oh what a sweet quote Anita...
Pretty card, too, like little holes, very effective :)

I love the quote. Have copied it down and am now turning off the computer and heading back to the lounge to play with my two munchkins. Thanks for the dose of inspiration and perspective. Hope you are having a great week, Sue
